Welcome to Sunshine School!

Hello, and welcome to the Sunshine School website.
Since 1984, Sunshine School has loved and educated 3-, 4-, and 5-year old children in the northwest
Tucson neighborhoods. We are a group of educators who offer children a wide array of activities in
the areas of cognition, social development, and life skills. Classroom and centers' lessons are taken
from our curriculum but presented to suit the needs of individual children. Visits from guest teachers
(with lessons in
science and rhythm and Spanish and yoga and vocal music and Physical Education, etc) provide Sunshine
with an environment rich in educational opportunities. Adults and children work and play and share
conversations together. Our goal is to develop competent children who are ready to leave Sunshine
with confidence and creativity and respect for one-another.
Please take the time to read all the material. (You just might need a big cup of tea and a
few cookies.) You'll find particular information about our hours of operation; our fee structure;
our philosophy and policies; our experienced staff; and you'll be able to read comments from
parents in the section entitled Testimonials. Jot down questions. Then, give extra attention to
the photos. Can you picture your child at Sunshine? If so, give us a call at 520.742.6874.
We'll answer your questions and arrange a tour. Currently, a few openings remain for the
upcoming academic year. Because our enrollment is limited to only 65
children, these open spots are precious. We are taking reservations through the year 2013.
